We’re hiring a Senior AS400 Developer to enhance, troubleshoot, and modernize core policy administration systems for a major General Insurance environment.
What You’ll Own & Deliver:

Lead end-to-end AS400 (SMART) development with full ownership of enhancements, fixes, and system improvements.

Work directly within General Insurance policy administration — especially group medical lines.

Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using RPG, CL, and COBOL.

Troubleshoot, debug, and improve system functionalities with speed and precision.

Guide and coach junior developers — setting standards, reviewing code, and elevating team capability.

Solve complex business problems in a highly critical, performance-driven environment.
You’ll Fit If You Bring:

10+ years hands-on SMART AS400 development experience.

Strong understanding of General Insurance policy admin systems (group medical exposure a major plus).

Deep technical mastery of RPG, CL, COBOL and AS400 ecosystem components.

Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead junior developers.

Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills — the person people call when things get difficult.
