🔍 About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced FinOps Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is critical in managing and optimizing cloud and infrastructure costs, enabling financial transparency, and driving cost efficiency across the organization. You will bridge the gap between Finance and Engineering, promoting a culture of financial accountability within the tech landscape.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

Cost Optimization: Analyze infrastructure usage and implement cost-saving strategies across cloud and on-prem environments.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Build financial models, track spend vs. budget, and support proactive financial planning.

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Create insightful dashboards and reports to monitor trends, anomalies, and cost performance.

Vendor Management: Oversee vendor invoicing, payments, and support contract negotiation for better cost efficiency.

Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and PMO teams to align infrastructure cost with business goals.

Cost Transparency: Ensure clear visibility of infrastructure spend to enable data-driven decisions.

Waste Management: Identify underutilized or overprovisioned resources, and drive cleanup and optimization.

FinOps Advocacy: Champion FinOps principles and educate teams on best practices in cost control.
✅ Mandatory Skills & Experience:

Proven track record (8–10 years) in FinOps, Infrastructure Financial Management, or Cloud Cost Optimization

Strong knowledge in financial modeling, budgeting, and cost forecasting

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise infrastructure cost management

Expertise in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement

Skilled in reporting tools and cost visibility dashboards

Solid understanding of resource provisioning, usage patterns, and efficiency metrics

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
