The Opportunity
You’ll support the Manager of Security Technology & Project Delivery to drive enterprise cybersecurity initiatives aligned to organizational strategy and regulatory expectations.
This role is for someone who can translate business needs into secure-by-design architecture across:
on-prem
cloud
hybrid environments
…and still get it implemented cleanly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support strategic cybersecurity initiatives (enterprise-wide programs, roadmap execution)
Design, recommend, and implement security architecture frameworks and solutions
Lead security architecture lifecycle: planning → requirements → design → implementation → operational handover
Align security blueprint with enterprise strategy, risk posture, and compliance mandates
Validate technical consistency: ensure solutions follow standards, principles, and approved platforms
Collaborate across teams: enterprise architects, apps, infra, vendors, third parties
Provide architecture support during go-lives, transitions, and escalations (after-hours when needed)
What You Must Bring (Top Skills / Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT (or equivalent)
4–6 years relevant experience in IT Security project management + implementation
Proven capability designing and delivering secure architecture (security-by-design) across enterprise systems (on-prem/cloud/hybrid)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; team collaboration
Hands-on experience architecting/implementing security products in large-scale environments
Experience evaluating/selecting security technologies and applying best practices
Strong understanding of security frameworks/standards: NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, SABSA, TOGAF (any)
Familiar with Malaysian regulatory requirements: BNM RMiT, PDPA, PCI DSS
Experience delivering security initiatives end-to-end (e.g., SIEM, XDR, PAM, cloud security, security upgrades/enhancements)
Comfortable juggling multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Hands-on knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), IAM, Zero Trust, and exposure to DevSecOps/Agile
Strong communication in English + Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken)
Able to report clearly on status, risks, and mitigation to stakeholders/senior management
Proactive learner; willing to share knowledge and coach others
Experience in regulated industries (banking/financial services) is a strong advantage
