This is not a single-database babysitting role.
This is for a seasoned Oracle DBA who can manage mission-critical databases across the Asia Pacific region, with exposure to cloud and multi-database platforms.

🎯 WHAT YOU’LL OWN
You will be responsible for designing, running, securing, and optimizing enterprise database environments — ensuring availability, performance, and data protection at all times.
🔥 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1️⃣ Database Installation & Configuration
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and other RDBMS platforms
Ensure databases are properly tuned and aligned with system specs
2️⃣ Performance Monitoring & Tuning
Monitor performance across platforms
Identify bottlenecks and execute tuning strategies
Optimize resource utilization and response times
3️⃣ Security Management
Implement and maintain database security controls
Protect data integrity, privacy, and access
Proactively address emerging threats
4️⃣ Backup & Disaster Recovery
Design and manage backup & recovery strategies
Conduct regular DR testing to ensure business continuity
5️⃣ Troubleshooting & Production Support
Provide expert-level L2/L3 support
Diagnose and resolve complex database issues quickly
6️⃣ Cross-Platform Integration
Support data migration, synchronization, and interoperability
Work closely with application and infrastructure teams
7️⃣ Documentation & Compliance
Maintain detailed documentation (configs, procedures, policies)
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
🧠 MANDATORY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
✔ Proven experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments
✔ Exposure to multiple databases (DB2, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
✔ Hands-on experience with cloud-based database solutions
✔ Strong SQL, scripting, and troubleshooting skills
✔ Solid understanding of backup, recovery, security & performance tuning
✔ Experience working on Linux / UNIX / Windows platforms
🎓 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT or related field
Certifications (Good to Have, Not Mandatory):
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
IBM DB2 DBA
Microsoft Certified DBA
PostgreSQL / MySQL DBA certifications
