💼 About the Role:
We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with hands-on expertise in VMWare solutions, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD practices. You’ll play a key role in building scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure to support the cloud platform operations of a leading insurance company.
This is more than just a support role — it's a hybrid of software engineering and infrastructure operations, with a mission to automate, optimize, and ensure system health across the board.
🚀 Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and improve distributed systems for high availability, scalability, and performance.

Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks using scripting and orchestration tools.

Manage VMware environments including NSX-T, vSphere/vCenter, vRealize Suite.

Execute patch management across OS (Windows, RedHat) and middleware (WebSphere, WebLogic, MSSQL).

Build and maintain VM templates and blueprints.
-
Support go-live operations and proactively monitor systems post-deployment.

Own incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service recovery processes.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve CI/CD and deployment pipelines.

Ensure compliance with company security policies, risk standards, and regulations.
🛠️ Technical Requirements:
-
VMWare expertise: NSX-T, vRealize Suite, vSphere/vCenter (Mandatory)
-
Patch Management: OS & Middleware (e.g., RedHat, Windows, MSSQL, WebSphere)

IaC & Orchestration Tools: Ansible, Terraform, or similar

Scripting: Bash, Batch, PowerShell, YAML
-
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub/Bitbucket, Nexus, Jira, Confluence

Automation: Selenium, SOAPUI, Marvin, etc.

Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (preferred)

Strong grasp of DevOps methodologies, version control, and secure system architecture
